About Our Statue :
This handmade statue of Chenrezig, the enlightened Bodhisattva, is standing at 6.5”/16.5cm (Height) and 5.1”/13cm (Base). This statue is made up of an oxidized copper body and gemstones. Designed by talented Nepalese artisans, this detailed sculpture is ideal for altars, meditation areas, or as a meaningful decorative item for individuals seeking to cultivate awareness in their daily life.
Handcrafted by craftsmen, the statue is an authentic representation of the region's culture and renowned craftsmanship. We hand-carved the art of Chenrezig Avalokiteshvara in an oxidized copper body, depicting the deity seated atop a moon disc lotus with a peaceful expression in this statue. In his upper right hand, he holds a crystal rosary, and in his upper left hand, he has a lotus. In his lower hands is a wish-fulfilling jewel.
Introduction to Chenresig
Avalokiteshvara, also known as Chenrezig in Tibetan Buddhism, is a Bodhisattva of compassion who embodies the characteristics of love and kindness. Avalokiteshvara's compassionate character transcends national and theological boundaries, as he is often depicted with numerous arms, symbolizing his ability to reach out to anyone in need. Devotees say the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" to evoke his blessings and build compassion within themselves and in the world around them. By respecting Chenrezig, practitioners commit to the path of kindness and enlightenment.
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
• Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
