About Our Product
This handcrafted Chenrezig statue measures 11 cm tall and 8.5 cm wide, weighing 0.23 kilograms. Made from oxidized copper, it has a beautiful, antique finish that enhances its sacred presence. Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is revered as the Bodhisattva of Compassion, embodying infinite love, wisdom, and boundless compassion for all beings. This finely detailed statue serves as a powerful symbol of spiritual guidance and a reminder to cultivate compassion in daily life.
In this statue, Chenrezig is depicted seated in padmāsana (lotus posture) upon a lotus base. His main hands are joined in anjali mudrā, holding the cintāmaṇi (wish-fulfilling jewel) as a symbol of boundless compassion. The upper right hand holds a rosary (mala), representing his ceaseless vow to liberate beings, while the upper left hand carries a utpala (blue lotus), a sign of purity and wisdom that rises unstained from samsāra.
Chenrezig, known in Sanskrit as Avalokiteśvara, is the Bodhisattva of Compassion revered across Mahāyāna and Vajrayāna Buddhism. He embodies boundless compassion (karuṇā) and responds to the cries of all beings caught in the cycles of suffering. In Tibetan tradition, Chenrezig is regarded as the spiritual protector of Tibet, with the Dalai Lama recognized as his human emanation.
