This is an ancient rite, symbolizing the 7 practices for purifying negativity and gaining merit, including prostrations, making offerings, confession of non-virtuous activities, rejoicing in the positive actions of oneself and others.
Chegumba is a beautiful master quality hand made water offering in monasteries and households where Tibetan style Buddhism is practiced. The ritual of making daily offerings at the shrine where the representations of the dharma are kept. Typically, this is done with water offered in 7 bowls.
