About Our Product

This Ceremonial Kapala Set consists of two matching ritual vessels, each measuring 14.5 cm in height, 9 cm in length, and 8.5 cm in width, with a single weight of 0.2 kg and a total weight of 0.4 kg. Crafted from a copper body with brass borders, both vessels feature a traditional two-part form with a rounded bowl, domed lid, and distinctive flared base. The copper surfaces are richly decorated with intricate engraved floral and scrolling patterns, while the brass borders emphasize the contours of the vessels. Ornamental finials rise from the tops of the lids, completing their ceremonial appearance.

The Kapala, or ritual skull cup, is an important symbolic vessel in Vajrayana Buddhist practice and is traditionally associated with transformation, impermanence, and the offering of the three poisons into wisdom. This set presents the Kapala in a stylized ceremonial form rather than a literal skull-shaped bowl. The engraved floral and scrolling motifs across the body and lids add layers of traditional ornamentation, while the contrasting brass borders define each section. The matching pair creates visual symmetry and is particularly suited to ritual arrangements where paired vessels are used.

This Buddhist Kapala set is suitable for Vajrayana altars, shrine arrangements, meditation spaces, ritual ceremonies, and collections of traditional Himalayan Buddhist objects. The matching design, detailed copper engraving, brass borders, domed covers, and ornamental finials give the set a distinctive ceremonial character. As a pair of traditional ritual vessels, they can serve as meaningful additions to a sacred space dedicated to meditation, devotion, tantric practice, and contemplation of transformation and impermanence.

Introduction To The Kapala :

The Kapala set holds the nectar used in higher esoteric rituals. It offers liberation to gods and deities, ensuring their devotion. The offerings are said to be transformed into the Wisdom Nectar, a liquid form of the deity's Enlightened Mind.
