About Our Product

This Buddhist Teacher Marpa Sculpture is a sacred representation of Marpa Lotsawa, the great Tibetan translator, meditation master, and founder of the Kagyu lineage. It measures 10cm in height, 8.5cm in length, and 6.5cm in width, with a weight of 0.39kg. The statue is crafted from a copper body with gold plating and acrylic color details, created through a machine-made process, making it suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, and spiritual collections.

This Marpa Sculpture is shown seated in a peaceful meditative posture on a raised base, wearing traditional robes and a calm expression that reflects his deep realization and wisdom. His hands rest in a meditation gesture while holding a long life vase (bumpa), symbolizing blessings, spiritual nourishment, and the preservation of enlightened teachings. The detailed robe patterns, serene face, and seated posture reflect Marpa’s role as a great teacher who dedicated his life to translating Buddhist teachings from India into Tibetan and transmitting profound Vajrayana practices. Marpa represents devotion, perseverance, wisdom, and the importance of the teacher student relationship in Tibetan Buddhism.

This Marpa statue can be placed on a Buddhist altar, meditation table, shrine shelf, study space, or spiritual display area. It supports contemplation, guru devotion, meditation practice, and reflection on the path of learning and realization. His presence reminds practitioners of dedication, discipline, and the transformative power of authentic spiritual guidance.

Introduction To Buddhist Master :

Three revered personalities in the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism are Marpa, Gampopa, and Milarepa. A farmer by trade, Marpa the Translator founded the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism and rose to prominence as one of Tibet's great masters. Milarepa, Marpa's disciple, is revered for his songs and poetry about the road to enlightenment. Gampopa, Marpa's student, combined the Kadampa teachings with the Mahamudra practice. This group of figures represents the fundamental Tibetan Buddhist idea of teachings being passed down from master to pupil.
