This Buddhist Shrine Maha Manjushri Statue is a finely handcrafted representation of Six-Armed Maha Manjushri, created by artist Mir Shakya in 2009. The sculpture features a copper body enhanced with an elegant electroplated gold finish, highlighting the intricate details of the deity’s crown, ornaments, jewelry, and lotus pedestal. Colorful stone embellishments are carefully placed throughout the figure, adding vibrant accents to the radiant golden surface. The refined carving, graceful posture, and detailed ornamentation reflect the traditional craftsmanship of Himalayan Buddhist sculpture.
Maha Manjushri is depicted in his six-armed form, with each arm representing mastery of the six perfections (Paramitas): generosity, ethical conduct, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom. His flaming sword (Khadga) represents the sharp and penetrating power of wisdom that cuts through ignorance, illusion, and dualistic thinking. The bow and arrow symbolize focused intention, accuracy, and the union of skillful means with penetrating insight. His hands also support the stem of a blooming lotus (Utpala) upon which rests the sacred Prajnaparamita Sutra, representing the perfection of wisdom and the blossoming of transcendent realization. The additional attributes and multiple arms express the expansive activity of wisdom that guides practitioners toward awakening.
