About Our Product

This Sacred Shrine Bhumba Set is crafted from copper, measuring 21cm in height, 13cm in length, and 9.5cm in width, with each vessel weighing 0.47 kg and a combined weight of 0.94 kg. Featuring a traditional Tibetan Buddhist design, this matching pair of ritual offering vessels displays intricate ornamental carvings, raised decorative patterns, and a warm copper finish. Their elegant structure and detailed metalwork reflect the artistic traditions of Himalayan Buddhist ritual objects. This Tibetan Bhumba set is suitable for monastery altars, personal shrines, meditation rooms, ceremonial arrangements, and collections of sacred Buddhist artwork.

The Buddhist Bhumba vessels feature rounded bodies supported by elevated, flared pedestal bases decorated with vertical ornamental patterns. Each vessel displays an intricately carved front panel with floral and scrolling motifs, extending from the upper neck toward the rounded body. The broad circular lids feature raised decorative patterns and are crowned with ornate finials containing small central openings. Spouts extend vertically along the front of both vessels, while their polished copper surfaces contrast with the darker recessed carvings. The matching designs, detailed relief work, and symmetrical arrangement highlight the traditional appearance of these Himalayan ritual water vessels.

In Tibetan Buddhism, Bhumba vessels are traditionally associated with purification, blessings, abundance, and spiritual well-being. They are commonly used in Vajrayana ceremonies, blessing rituals, and sacred water offerings, symbolizing purity, compassion, and the accumulation of positive merit. Their decorative motifs reflect auspicious qualities connected with wisdom and spiritual harmony. This copper Bhumba set is suitable for Buddhist ritual practices, altar arrangements, monastery ceremonies, and devotional shrine displays. It also makes a meaningful addition to Himalayan religious art collections or a thoughtful spiritual gift for Buddhist practitioners.

Introduction of Bhumba Set

The Bhumba is a sacred ceremonial vessel originating from the Newari community of Kathmandu, traditionally used to store and offer holy water during religious rites and festivals. Its unique shape, featuring a narrow neck and a wider base, symbolizes the flow of divine nectar, purifying the surroundings and connecting the earthly realm with the spiritual. Crafted from metal such as copper, brass, or silver, Bhumbas are adorned with intricate designs and deities, embodying spiritual significance and artistic elegance. Used in various rituals and ceremonies across Hinduism and Buddhism, the Bhumba represents devotion, purity, and the sacred offering of life-giving water to deities. Its presence in temples and homes emphasizes the importance of cleansing and spiritual nourishment, making it an essential tool for those seeking to deepen their connection with the divine.
