As you would see, Marpa Lotsawa (1012–1097), also known as Lhodak Marpa Choski Lodos or simply Marpa "the Translator," was a Tibetan Buddhist teacher who brought many Vajrayana teachings from India to Tibet, including the Mahamudra teachings and lineages.
