About Our Product
This Buddhist Master Gampopa Sculpture measures 11 cm in height, 8 cm in length, and 4.5 cm in width, with a weight of 0.53 kg. Made from an oxidized copper body, the statue features a deep traditional finish that highlights the facial expression, robes, seated posture, and carved decorative borders. The compact form and detailed surface work give the sculpture a strong Tibetan Buddhist appearance suitable for altar and spiritual display.
This statue features Gampopa seated cross legged on a raised rectangular base, wearing traditional monastic robes decorated with carved scrolling patterns along the borders. His hands rest naturally near the knees, while his calm expression and slightly lowered gaze reflect meditation, discipline, and inner focus. The layered robes fall across the chest and lap with detailed folds and ornamental patterns, while the simple base gives the figure a grounded and balanced appearance. Gampopa is remembered as an important Tibetan Buddhist master connected with the Kagyu tradition and the transmission of Mahamudra teachings.
This Buddhist Master Gampopa Sculpture can be used for meditation, prayer, altar placement, Dharma centers, monasteries, teaching spaces, and home shrines. Its seated posture, monastic robes, calm expression, and traditional form make it a meaningful piece for Buddhist study, devotion, and spiritual practice.
Introduction of Gampopa
Gampopa received teachings from masters of various lineages, including the Nyingma and Kadampa. He became the foremost disciple of the renowned yogi Milarepa, receiving instruction in Vajravarahi, tummo, and Mahamudra from him. Following Milarepa's passing, Gampopa established the Drukpa Kagyu lineage and transmitted Milarepa's teachings to a large number of students.
