About Our Product
This Buddhist Enlightenment Stupa measures 36 cm in height and 19.5 cm in both length and width, with a weight of 1.72 kg. Made from wood and finished with gold paint, the stupa combines smooth white sections with detailed gold painted elements. Its balanced form, stepped base, central shrine section, and raised upper structure give it a traditional Tibetan Buddhist appearance suitable for altar and spiritual display.
This Enlightenment Stupa features a pointed finial at the top above a tall stepped spire. Below the spire is the upper shrine section, followed by the main white body with a seated Shakyamuni Buddha figure placed inside a golden arched frame. He is shown in a calm meditation posture on a lotus base, with his right hand lowered in the earth touching gesture, representing the moment of his enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. The arched frame around him is decorated with repeated carved details that emphasize the sacred image. Beneath this are several stepped levels with repeating border patterns, followed by a lower section with a small sacred image set into the center. The stupa ends in a broad square base that gives the structure a balanced form. In Buddhism, the Enlightenment Stupa represents Shakyamuni Buddha’s awakening, the overcoming of ignorance, and the path toward wisdom, liberation, and spiritual realization.
This Buddhist Enlightenment Stupa can be used for altar placement, meditation, prayer, Buddhist practice, monastery display, Dharma centers, home shrines, and sacred spiritual decor. Its seated Buddha image, stepped structure, and symbolic stupa form make it a meaningful focus for mindfulness, devotion, and the aspiration toward enlightenment.
Introduction of Stupa
Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated, but sometimes they were buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa represents his crossed legs as he sat in a meditative pose. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
