About Our Product

This Buddhist Altar Damaru is a sacred Tibetan Buddhist ritual instrument crafted from wood and white metal details. Measuring 8 cm in height, 15.5 cm in length, and 15.5 cm in width, with a weight of 0.41 kg, this traditional drum carries deep spiritual symbolism and artistic beauty. Designed for Vajrayana Buddhist practices, meditation spaces, and sacred collections, it represents the connection between sound, awareness, and spiritual transformation.

The Damaru features an intricately decorated wooden body with white metal embellishments, carved auspicious symbols, and skull motifs that represent impermanence and the transformation of ordinary consciousness into wisdom. The detailed carvings around the drum reflect traditional Himalayan craftsmanship, while the accompanying decorative cover helps protect the sacred instrument when not in use.

In Tibetan Buddhist practice, the Damaru is used during tantric rituals and prayers, producing a rhythmic sound that symbolizes the union of wisdom and compassion. The skull imagery reminds practitioners of the transient nature of life, encouraging awareness and spiritual awakening. Displayed in a shrine room, meditation area, or sacred collection, this handcrafted Damaru becomes a meaningful symbol of devotion, transformation, and the rich heritage of Tibetan ritual art.

Introduction To Tibetan Drum:

A Chod drum, integral to the Chod spiritual practice in Tibetan Buddhism, is a unique and symbolic instrument. Also known as a damaru, this small, double-sided hand drum has a narrow waist connecting two drumheads. The drum's shape is often likened to the hourglass, embodying the union of wisdom and compassion. Used by Chod practitioners during ritualistic ceremonies, the drum's rhythmic beating is believed to connect with the sacred energies, facilitating meditation and the realization of emptiness. The Chod drum, with its ritualistic role, underscores the synthesis of sound, spirituality, and meditation in Tibetan Buddhist traditions.
