About Our Product
This Buddha Siddhartha Gautama Statue is a graceful representation of the historical Buddha, embodying enlightenment, compassion, and inner serenity. Expertly handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans, this sacred sculpture measures 22cm in height, 8.5cm in length, and 8cm in width, weighing 0.92kg. The statue is meticulously crafted from a copper body and adorned with radiant 24K gold plating, vibrant acrylic colors, and a traditional fire gold finish that enhances its intricate details. Designed for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, temples, or spiritual home décor, this sacred artwork reflects the exceptional craftsmanship and rich artistic heritage of Himalayan Buddhism.
Siddhartha Gautama Statue is deeply significant. The raised hand represents the bhumisparsha mudra, or earth-touching gesture, symbolizing Siddhartha’s calling upon the earth during his moment of enlightenment. His calm expression, with eyes gently closed, signifies inner peace and spiritual wisdom. The oxidized copper material reflects the humble yet profound nature of his teachings, reminding us of the importance of meditation, mindfulness, and the path to enlightenment.
Introduction of Siddhartha Gautama
Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king, aligning with his royal father's aspirations. However, around the age of 29, he encountered the profound suffering of humanity. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to uncover the source of this anguish and find a remedy. After more than six years of dedicated study, self-denial, and intense concentration, he ultimately achieved his goal, attaining nirvana and becoming a Buddha. He then declared his visit to a deer park outside Varanasi, specifically Sarnath (Benares).
