The founder of Buddhism and a representation of compassion, knowledge, and peace is the awakened teacher of humanity, Buddha Shakyamuni. With his right hand in the Bhumi-Sparsa Mudra, or Earth Touching Gesture, Shakyamuni Buddha is depicted in this Thangka sitting elegantly on a lotus seat. This spiritual gesture represents his enlightenment and his invitation for the Earth to witness his awakening. Handmade on cotton canvas, the Thangka has a bright and celestial space due to its vivid acrylic painting and careful 24K gold details.
With Amitabha Buddha sitting above him and representing boundless light and wisdom, Shakyamuni is surrounded by an array of enlightened creatures. Around him, four Bodhisattvas; White Tara, Green Tara, Manjushri, and Vajrapani represent different aspects of Buddhist practice, including compassion, protection, power, and wisdom. For any reason you need to return your item, we're here to help.
