About Our Statue :
This magnificent Buddha Shakyamuni statue was constructed on a copper body and exquisitely plated in 24k gold and silver. The auspicious symbol on the deity's monastic robe were expertly created by the craftsman, giving the statue a touch of celestial beauty. The image of the deity shows it sitting on the lotus base in a calm and peaceful pose, exuding a sense of serenity and tranquillity. The statue encourages us to pursue inner tranquility and enlightenment by symbolizing the teachings and wisdom of Buddha Shakyamuni. It also makes a beautiful ornamental piece.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king in accordance with the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29 years old, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune in order to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside of Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).

How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.

This particular handmade, Shakyamuni Buddha statue (18" height x 12.59" width at base), copper body with 24K gold plating, silver plating --- met all my personal criteria for 'purchasing'. The Nepal (bordering India) business place/studio that originated the marketing of this exquisite handmade sculpture advertised it perfectly (this Buddha is exactly as it was pictured). It was packed/shipped expertly in a wooden crate with rope handles with my name/address displayed prominently. I had to take my delivered crate to a local cabinet shop to get them to open my treasure box crate (23 nails in the lid of the crate kept its contents from being disturbed by anyone during its 1 week journey to America). This high-quality sculpture is a true work of art!
