About Our Product:
This Bodhgaya Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is a handcrafted representation of the Buddha Shakyamuni inspired by the sacred connection to Bodhgaya, the place where the Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. Crafted with a copper body and finished with gold plating and detailed acrylic painting, this sculpture reflects the traditional artistry of Himalayan Buddhist craftsmanship. The serene expression, balanced proportions, and refined surface details create a meaningful representation of the Enlightened One.
The statue depicts Shakyamuni Buddha seated in the earth-touching posture (Bhumisparsha mudra), symbolizing the moment of enlightenment when the Buddha called upon the earth to witness his realization. The sculpture features a peaceful facial expression, curled hair, flowing robes with intricate patterns, and a beautifully decorated lotus base. The combination of gold-plated surfaces and painted details highlights the careful craftsmanship throughout the sculpture.
Revered as the historical Buddha and teacher of the Dharma, Shakyamuni Buddha represents wisdom, compassion, and the path toward awakening. This Bodhgaya Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, study rooms, and collections of Himalayan sacred art. It serves as a meaningful reminder of Buddhist teachings and the pursuit of enlightenment through mindfulness and wisdom.
Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king by his royal father's wishes and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29 years old, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
