About Our Statue :
This Authentic Tibetan Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is a magnificent large-scale Buddhist shrine sculpture portraying the Buddha Shakyamuni seated in a richly decorated sacred setting. Measuring 126cm in height and 99cm in width, with an approximate displayed size of 64cm in height and 43cm in width, and weighing 60.88kg, this exceptional artwork is crafted from a copper body with 24K gold plating and detailed acrylic paintings. The sculpture showcases the extraordinary richness of Tibetan Buddhist craftsmanship through its intricately crafted throne, colorful ornamentation, and carefully rendered sacred imagery.
At the center of this elaborate composition, Shakyamuni Buddha is seated upon a lotus throne in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, representing the moment of his enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. His peaceful expression, elongated ears, and curled hair symbolize his awakened state and profound wisdom. On both sides of the Buddha stand his disciples, Shariputra and Maudgalyayana, respectfully accompanying the enlightened teacher. The lower throne and surrounding structure are beautifully decorated with detailed figures, sacred motifs, and symbolic elements, creating the appearance of a complete Buddhist shrine. Above the Buddha, an ornate arch filled with intricate carvings, celestial designs, and colorful embellishments further enhances the majestic presence of the sculpture, while the upper parasol represents protection and spiritual honor.
The entire throne structure is a remarkable display of Tibetan Buddhist artistry, featuring a multi-layered lotus base, intricate carvings, and a richly decorated aureole surrounding the Buddha. The elaborate backdrop is adorned with celestial clouds, floral patterns, jewel-like ornaments, and numerous sacred figures, creating the appearance of a complete heavenly shrine. Above the Buddha, a traditional parasol crowns the composition, symbolizing protection, honor, and spiritual refuge. Designed for grand Buddhist temples, meditation halls, and sacred collections, this Shakyamuni Buddha shrine sculpture embodies enlightenment, peace, and the profound beauty of Himalayan Buddhist tradition.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king following the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. At about 29, he learned of the immense suffering of others. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
