About Our Product
This Amoghapasa Lokeshwor Statue represents Amoghapasha Lokeshwor, a powerful form of Avalokiteshvara associated with compassionate activity, protection, and the liberation of beings from suffering. Crafted from a copper body with 24K gold plating and detailed acrylic coloring, the sculpture depicts the Bodhisattva standing gracefully with eight arms extending around his body. His peaceful expression, elaborate crown, jewelry, flowing robes, and richly detailed ornaments reflect the traditional Himalayan Buddhist artistic style.
Amoghapasha, meaning “Unfailing Lasso,” is traditionally depicted using the symbolic lasso to draw sentient beings toward liberation. His eight arms represent the many forms of compassionate activity through which he assists beings and overcomes obstacles. The various ritual implements held in his hands symbolize different aspects of enlightened activity, while the lasso is particularly associated with his ability to reach beings who are caught in suffering and guide them toward the Dharma. His ornate crown and Bodhisattva jewelry represent his enlightened nature, while the flowing forms surrounding his body add movement to the standing composition.
This Eight-Armed Amoghapasa Lokeshwor Statue is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, monasteries, and sacred collections. Its detailed iconography and standing form make it a meaningful representation of compassionate action, spiritual guidance, and the Bodhisattva ideal of helping beings progress toward liberation.
Introduction of Lokeshwor
In Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, Lokeshwor, meaning 'Lord of the World,' is a highly esteemed bodhisattva personifying unending mercy. Also known as Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit, he is revered across East Asian, Tibetan, and Nepalese cultures. Lokeshwor is depicted in various forms, including manifestations with four arms and a thousand arms, symbolizing his boundless compassion. The chant Om Mani Padme Hum, representing enlightenment and universal love, is closely associated with him. He is particularly revered in Nepal as Karunamaya and Matsyendranath. Devotees believe that invoking Lokeshwor's blessings fosters kindness and wisdom, leading to freedom from suffering.
