About Our Product

This Amitayus sculpture for longevity is made from a copper body with silver plating, gold and acrylic color, and an antique finish that gives the statue a sacred, aged appearance. Measuring 16.5cm in height, 12.5cm in length, and 8cm in width, with a weight of 0.83kg, it is a meaningful piece for Buddhist altars, shrine tables, meditation rooms, and spiritual collections. The contrast between the warm painted face, silver-toned body, and darker antique surface gives the statue a calm yet devotional presence.

Amitayus is seated in a peaceful meditative posture on a lotus base, wearing a crown, ornaments, and flowing celestial adornments. His hands rest in the Dhyana Mudra, the gesture of meditation, while holding the long life vase, a central symbol of vitality, healing, and the blessing of extended life. The curled decorative ribbons around the body, detailed jewelry, and painted facial features reflect the traditional iconography of Amitayus, the Buddha of Infinite Life.

In Vajrayana Buddhist practice, Amitayus is honored for longevity, life force, merit, and spiritual well being. His presence is often connected with long life prayers, healing rituals, and the wish to preserve the conditions needed for Dharma practice. Placed on an altar or meditation table, this statue serves as a reminder to cultivate compassion, wisdom, health, and peaceful awareness throughout life.

Introduction of Amitayus

In Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, Amitayus, often depicted as a manifestation of Amitabha Buddha, is revered as the Buddha of Infinite Life. He is associated with longevity, vitality, and spiritual abundance. Amitayus is frequently portrayed holding a vase filled with amrita—the elixir of immortality—symbolizing his ability to grant long life, health, and spiritual vigor to his devotees. Devotion to Amitayus is particularly popular among those seeking to extend their lifespan and enhance their spiritual well-being. His teachings encourage practitioners to cultivate a healthy and balanced life, free from unnecessary suffering, allowing them to pursue spiritual enlightenment with greater ease and duration.
