Amitayus is a venerated deity in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, representing longevity, merit, and wisdom. He is depicted holding a long-life vase filled with the nectar of immortality, which means endless life and spiritual wealth. Practitioners invoke his blessings through rituals and prayers to prolong life and maintain spiritual well-being. Amitayus is revered in many Buddhist traditions for his role in promoting both bodily and spiritual health.

Introduction to Amitayus Buddha:

In the rich tapestry of Mahayana Buddhism, Amitayus emerges as a radiant form of Amitabha Buddha, celebrated as the "Buddha of Infinite Life." Linked closely with the Lotus family, he embodies the endless journey of life and the merit needed to reach enlightenment. Often depicted holding a vessel filled with amrita—the legendary elixir of immortality—Amitayus symbolizes the gifts of longevity, healing, and spiritual resilience. His presence inspires all who encounter him to cultivate a life marked by mindfulness, compassion, and wisdom, guiding them toward lasting peace.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.

• Handmade items may have slight variations

• Colors may differ slightly due to natural materials and lighting

Consecration Service Available

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
