About Our Product
This Amitabha Buddha of Infinite Light statue is crafted from a copper body with silver plating, gold and acrylic color, and an antique finish that gives the piece a devotional, aged appearance. Measuring 14.5cm in height, 10cm in length, and 6cm in width, with a weight of 0.71kg, this compact statue is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation corners, shrine tables, and spiritual collections. The calm seated form and layered metal finish create a peaceful presence for Pure Land practice and daily reflection.
Amitabha Buddha is seated in deep meditation, with both hands resting in the Dhyana Mudra, the gesture of concentration, inner stillness, and awakened awareness. His serene face, elongated ears, dark painted hair, lotus base, and ornamented robe reflect traditional Buddhist iconography. A small seated Buddha figure is carved on the front of the robe, adding a sacred detail to the sculpture’s design, while the back is decorated with additional relief work and symbolic patterns that make the statue meaningful from every side.
In Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, Amitabha is revered as the Buddha of Infinite Light and the guide of Sukhavati, the Pure Land. Introduction of Amitabha Buddha
In the Pure Land sects of Mahayana Buddhism, Amitabha is sometimes referred to as Amitayus, the great savior Buddha. Amitabha is worshipped as one of the five'self-born' buddhas (Dhyani-buddhas) who have existed eternally. However, he was not as widely recognized as a savior figure in Tibet and Nepal compared to East Asia. Amitabha grants longevity, which earned him the name Amitayus, or 'Infinite Life.' In China and Japan, these two names are often used interchangeably, but in Tibet, they are distinct, and Amitayus is specifically worshipped in rituals aimed at achieving long life.

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
