Tibetan Buddhism admires White Tara, also known as Sita Tara, as a symbol of compassion, wisdom, and longevity. At the same time, her multiple-eye depictions on her palms, feet, and forehead represent her vigilance and ability to see all beings suffering so she can assist them in attaining liberation from that suffering.
