The Beautiful Red Dakini Vajrayogini Thangka Print
Vajrayogini, a dakini, is the most well-known female meditational deity portrayed in a calm background with a waterfall and blooming lotus in the river. She is red in complexion in this thangka print wielding a vajra-handled curved flaying knife and sipping from a skull bowl. A garland of freshly chopped skulls hangs almost to her ankle from her left leg. Her right leg is bent and pushed up to her inner thigh in a dancer's pose. The blazing flame behind her portrays her wrathful nature, and her whole body is adorned with silver ornaments which are her attribute.
