Tibetan Vajrasattva Purification Art | Sacred Thangka
Vajrasattva Purification Art is hand-painted by skilled artists at Enlightenment Studio, following the sacred instructions described in the Meditation Manual and the refined principles of the Karma Gadri tradition. This piece of art, which was painted on handmade cotton canvas using traditional Himalayan painting techniques. To maintain the traditional appearance of Buddhist paintings, genuine natural Lhasa Stone Pigments are meticulously treated and used to produce true colors with natural depth and long-lasting quality. A radiant aspect is added to the composition by carefully highlighting religious ornaments, the bell and vajra, beautiful patterns, and significant elements with genuine 24K gold.
Vajrasattva is an essential figure within Vajrayana Buddhism, representing the ideas of purification and the everlasting nature of the mind. Shown as being calm and meditative while sitting on a lotus, he has a thunderbolt (vajra) and a bell, which represent the combination of wisdom and skillful means. He is white in colour, which illustrates the clarity and unchanging nature of the mind as well as the boundless wisdom of the Buddha. He is called upon in purification ceremonies primarily to remove negative karma and internal difficulties. His mantra is recited to help purify the bodies and minds of practitioners. The presence of Vajrasattva represents the ability for deep transformation, leading practitioners toward clarity and liberation from the karma of their previous lives.
