About Our Statue:
This Vajrasattva Meditation Statue is a sacred Tibetan Buddhist sculpture handcrafted from a copper body and adorned with electric gold plating. Measuring 11cm in height and 8.5cm in width, with a weight of 0.22 kg, this traditional Buddhist artwork represents Vajrasattva, the embodiment of purification, clarity, and enlightened wisdom. Created through traditional Himalayan craftsmanship, this statue features a radiant golden surface, intricate carvings, and delicate details that reflect the devotion and artistic expression of skilled artisans.
This sculpture depicts Vajrasattva seated gracefully upon a lotus throne with an elaborate aureole surrounding him, symbolizing the radiance of purified awareness and awakened wisdom. Vajrasattva is portrayed holding the vajra in his right hand near his heart, representing indestructible wisdom and the unchanging nature of enlightened mind, while his left hand holds the ghanta (ritual bell), symbolizing wisdom and the realization of emptiness. His meditative posture and sacred attributes express the union of compassion, wisdom, and spiritual purification. In Tibetan Buddhism, Vajrasattva is revered as a principal deity associated with purification practices and the removal of negative karma through sincere reflection and spiritual discipline.
This Vajrasattva Meditation Statue is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, prayer rooms, study areas, and sacred collections. Displaying this sacred sculpture inspires mindfulness, inner transformation, and peace while serving as a meaningful reminder of the journey toward spiritual awakening and enlightenment.
Introduction To Vajrasattva:
Vajrasattva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
