FierceVajrakilaya with Consort | Yidam (Meditational Deity)
A stunning Vajrakilaya with Consort thangka is beautifully hand-painted on high-quality cotton canvas, using vibrant acrylic colors and 24K gold. Created in the traditional Nakthang style, famous for its striking “gold on black” look, this artwork features detailed gold accents against a rich black background, emphasizing the fierce and powerful image of Vajrakilaya. The artist’s luminous gold touches bring out symbolic elements, such as the nine and five-pronged vajras, the ritual dagger (kila), and the skull crown, creating a vivid and spiritually meaningful scene.
Vajrakilaya, the fierce deity of Tantric Buddhism, represents the removal of obstacles and the cleansing of opposing forces that block spiritual growth. Depicted here with his consort, he holds multiple symbolic weapons—the trident, ritual dagger, and vajras—each signifying the cutting away of ignorance, attachment, and ego. His tiger and elephant skin garments show his mastery over powerful spiritual energies. The three heads in white, red, and blue highlight his multifaceted nature, while the sun disc and lotus seat symbolize his enlightened presence. This thangka is more than just a beautiful artwork; it’s a powerful tool for meditation and protection, inviting transformative energy and spiritual strength into your sacred space.
