About Our Product
This Traditional Tibetan Enlightenment Stupa measures 30 cm in height, 15 cm in length, and 15 cm in width, and weighs 2.23 kg. It features a copper body finished with gold plating and detailed acrylic color. The stupa has a rich decorative surface with carved patterns, stepped sections, and ornamental details that reflect traditional Tibetan Buddhist art. Its larger size and detailed structure make it suitable for a Buddhist altar, shrine, meditation space, or prayer room.
This stupa presents carefully arranged sacred details. At the top is a pointed ornament above a crescent shaped finial, followed by a decorated upper section and a tall tiered spire made with repeated horizontal bands. Two long curved ornaments extend from both sides of the upper section and end in curled designs. Below the spire is a central section containing a small seated Buddha within an ornate arched frame, surrounded by floral and scroll motifs. The middle section continues into several stepped levels, with gold decorative borders and patterned panels. The lower portion features rich acrylic coloring, floral carvings, and ornamental designs before reaching the broad square base. The combination of the upward form, Buddha image, layered structure, and detailed decoration expresses traditional Buddhist stupa symbolism.
This stupa can be placed on a Buddhist altar, shrine, meditation area, prayer space, monastery, or spiritual home setting. It serves as a reminder of wisdom, peace, devotion, compassion, and the aspiration to follow the path toward enlightenment.
Introduction of Stupa
Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated, but sometimes they were buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa represents his crossed legs as he sat in a meditative pose. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
