About Our Product
This Traditional Jigme Lingpa Statue represents Jigme Lingpa, one of the most influential masters of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Revered as a great scholar, visionary, and Dzogchen master, Jigme Lingpa preserved and transmitted profound Buddhist teachings, especially the Longchen Nyingthig lineage. This handcrafted statue measures 11cm in height and weighs 0.3 kg, featuring a copper body adorned with 24K gold plating and detailed acrylic coloring that highlights the sacred appearance of the master.
The statue depicts Jigme Lingpa seated peacefully upon a lotus pedestal, wearing traditional monastic robes with a serene expression reflecting deep meditation and realization. He holds a sacred vase containing a flowering branch, symbolizing the flourishing of Dharma teachings and the preservation of spiritual wisdom. The finely detailed robes, facial features, ornaments, and lotus throne demonstrate traditional Himalayan craftsmanship while representing the purity, knowledge, and enlightened awareness associated with great Buddhist masters.
Crafted by skilled artisans, this Tibetan Buddhist master sculpture combines sacred iconography with traditional metalwork techniques. The radiant 24K gold plated surface enhances the intricate carvings and painted details, creating a dignified presence for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, and spiritual collections. This Jigme Lingpa Statue serves as a meaningful representation of wisdom, devotion, and the continuation of authentic Tibetan Buddhist teachings.
Introduction of Jigme Lingpa
Jigme Lingpa (1729–1798) was one of Tibet’s most renowned tertöns, or treasure finders. A master of both philosophical study and meditation, he predicted the coming of his own incarnation from the age of six. Jigme Lingpa founded the Nyingma school’s Drolod Tersar lineage and established its headquarters in the Dzogchen region of Kham, Tibet. He is particularly revered for discovering the treasure texts of the renowned guru Padmasambhava. His life exemplifies the path to enlightenment, offering lessons on the interplay of wisdom and compassion.
