Tibetan Thangka of Shyama Tara | Embodiment of Compassion and Swift Aid | Green Tara

Himalayan Tibetan Thangka of Shyama Tara | Mother of All Buddhas

The Tibetan Thangka of Shyama Tara is painted carefully using selected traditional Himalayan materials that preserve both spiritual depth and artistic authenticity. Enlightenment Studio's talented artists hand-paint this sacred thangka on handmade cotton canvas, creating a solid and organic base for exquisite detailing and durable preservation. The composition adheres to the Karma Gadri tradition, which is renowned for its roomy layout, harmonious composition, and meditative clarity that improves visual attention and spiritual contemplation. The halo, decorations, lotus seat, and sacred decorative patterns—which stand for enlightened activity, protection, and heavenly radiance—are meticulously highlighted with genuine 24K gold.

Green Tara, also known as Shyamatara, is one of the most revered forms of the deity in the context of Tibetan Buddhism and is revered for her swift and compassionate protection. She is a deity of mercy and can vanquish fear and danger while providing immediate help to those who need it. She is depicted sitting on a lotus with one leg stretched out and can jump into action at a moment’s notice. Her association with the color green represents her deep association with the earth and her ability to remove obstacles with speed and efficiency. Her mantra is widely recited to seek her blessings and overcome physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges. She represents the loving and compassionate aspect of Buddha’s wisdom and provides healing and peace to all who seek her blessings. Her figure represents the potential of compassion and awareness to overcome the obstacles of life.
