About Our Product
This Tibetan Altar Lotus Blossom Stupa is a sacred Buddhist meditation decor piece made for altar practice, shrine display, and spiritual home spaces. It measures 22cm in height, 12.5cm in length, and 12.5cm in width, with a weight of 0.56kg. The stupa is made from machine-made copper with a plated finish and decorated with gemstone, coral, and turquoise, giving the piece a bright ceremonial appearance for Buddhist ritual settings.
This stupa features a sacred jewel finial, a tiered spire, ornate side details, and a rounded dome resting above a stepped base. The gemstone at the front creates a strong focal point, while the coral and turquoise accents around the crown, side ornaments, base, and lower borders add sacred color and offering like detail. The Lotus Blossom Stupa represents the birth of Buddha Shakyamuni and symbolizes purity, spiritual awakening, and the blossoming of wisdom from humble beginnings.
Prior to Buddhism, great teachers were interred in mounds. While some were cremated, others were sometimes buried in a seated, meditative posture, covered by an earth mound. Consequently, the domed shape of the stupa evolved to represent a person seated in meditation, mirroring the Buddha's position when he attained Enlightenment and understood the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa signifies his crossed legs in a meditative pose. The middle section represents the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, from which a pole rises surrounded by a small fence, symbolizes his head. Before human images of the Buddha were created, reliefs frequently depicted practitioners showing devotion to a stupa.
