An original artwork of the female Buddha, Sita Tara Thangka, is meticulously hand-painted on fine cotton canvas using natural stone colors. It is also adorned with delicate accents made from genuine 24K gold. The use of naturally ground colors derived from minerals and stones gives the painting its soft, luminous texture. The gold highlights sacred elements like jewelry, robes, and background details. The painting adheres to the traditional Karma Gadri style, which is recognized by its open composition, flowing lines, and subtle shifts in tone. This style imparts clarity and elegance while beautifully presenting the main deity.

In Tibetan Buddhism and the broader Mahayana tradition, Sita Tara, also called White Tara, is regarded as a female Buddha of healing, compassion, and longevity. She is frequently called upon to guard against illness and untimely death. She is depicted in this thangka sitting elegantly on a moon disc upon a lotus seat, symbolizing spiritual purity. Her right hand is extended in the gesture of generosity (varada mudra). In contrast, her left hand holds a pundarika near her heart, an emblem of purity and the unfolding path of enlightenment.

White Tara's seven eyes symbolize her all-seeing awareness and compassionate vigilance towards sentient beings. She is adorned with a five-jeweled crown, silk garments, and gold-detailed divine ornaments. Surrounded by greenery and mountains, her presence evokes peace, clarity, and healing, making it a powerful support for spiritual practice and meditation.
