Statue of Guru Rinpoche Gilded in 24-Karat Real Gold for Padmasambhava Teachings
This sculpture of Guru Rinpoche was created at our workshop in Kathmandu, a tiny but historically significant city in Nepal, by our talented Nepali artisans for Padmasambhava Teachings. The figure's copper body was used in its construction. After we hand-carved stunning design patterns into the body, the entire Face was covered in real 24K gold. Then, tiny semiprecious stones were added. In his left hand, he is relaxing in a serene posture while holding a skull cup with a vase of longevity and the nectar of deathless wisdom in the center of his right hand. He has a lotus hat with five petals on his head.
Size: 20"/51cm (Height) x 14"/36cm (Base)
Weight: 12.65 kg
Material: 24K Gold Gilded, Copper Body, Acrylic Paintings
The teachings of Guru Rinpoche are said to have an oral lineage in Tibetan Buddhism. Guru Padmasambhava is also regarded as a Buddha who Buddha Shakyamuni predicted.
