Product Description
Compassionate Guardian of Longevity, Seven-Eyes Goddess White Tara
The thangka features the Seven-Eyes Goddess White Tara, intricately hand-painted on cotton canvas with natural stone pigments and embellished with genuine 24K gold. The earthy brilliance and soft depth of the mineral pigments add to her divine luminosity. White Tara is venerated in Himalayan Buddhism as a female Buddha associated with long life, healing, and compassion. Her lineage is deeply rooted in the meditative and healing practices of Tibet, where she is invoked as a protector who watches over all sentient beings with loving awareness.
Created in the elegant Karma Gadri style, this thangka shows a creative approach that prioritizes compositional harmony and spiritual clarity. Open backdrops, delicate natural elements, and gracefully flowing forms are characteristic of this style, which offers a serene and reflective setting for the observer to establish a connection with the deity.
The thangka depicts the goddess White Tara in a vajra posture, seated on a lotus and moon disc, with her body shaded with natural pigments. Her serene expression is portrayed with fine lines and subtle shading, capturing her compassionate essence. Her right hand extends in Varada Mudra, offering blessings and protection, while her left hand holds a blooming pundarika (white lotus) delicately between her fingers in Abhaya Mudra, the gesture of fearlessness. Each eye on her forehead, palms, and soles has been painted with fine detail, emphasizing her heightened awareness and infinite care.
Surrounded by peaceful green landscapes, gently rolling hills, and distant peaks, her serene expression is portrayed in muted tones. The artist uses color transitions, gold detailing, and flowing scarves to bring the goddess to life with elegance and spiritual presence, representing divine feminine energy.
