About Our Ritual Item
The Serkyem Offering set is meticulously handcrafted on a copper body. The gemstones are diligently inlaid, adding to the beauty and value of the set. The Serkyem Offering is a traditional Tibetan ritual in which a beverage of two liquids, usually water and alcohol, is offered to enlightened beings. The set includes two cups, one smaller and one larger, to represent the two liquids.
The cups are intricately decorated with designs and patterns, making them a stunning addition to any altar or sacred space.
Introduction to Serkyem
The Serkyem, also known as Golden Drink, is part of the Dharma Protector's practice. In Tibetan, Ser means "golden," and Kyem means "beverage."
It is offered by pouring the beverage into a cup-like wine glass and placed into a lower bowl. The beverage is poured into the cup during the offering, where the liquid overflows into the lower bowl. The symbol of the overflowing liquid is highly auspicious because it represents an abundant flow of merits.
