In traditional Tibetan Buddhism, Buddha Samantabhadra is revered as the primordial Buddha, embodying the original, pure nature of the mind. He is the central figure in the Guhyagarbha Tantra, one of the most significant texts in Tibetan tantric literature. According to the verses of the Nyingma texts, Samantabhadra is described as the “primordial Lord of unchanging light,” symbolizing the source of all mandalas and possessing an ocean of knowledge and pristine awareness. This depiction emphasizes his role as the foundation of all spiritual and material existence, highlighting his boundless wisdom and the pure, unaltered state of enlightenment.
