28 Inches Guru Padmasambhava Thangka | Embodiment of Protection and Enlightenment
This 28-inch Guru Padmasambhava Thangka truly shines with divine brilliance and spiritual depth, showcasing the exquisite artistry of the Himalayas. Hand-painted on fine cotton canvas, it features acrylic colors and genuine 24K gold, highlighting each sacred symbol. Created in the Karma Gadri style, it combines delicate details with vibrant hues, embodying spiritual devotion and artistic mastery.
Guru Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, is revered as the “Second Buddha” for introducing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century. In this thangka, he is depicted seated on a lotus seat and a moon disc, wearing a lotus-shaped hat adorned with a vulture feather and a half-vajra. He holds a five-pronged vajra and a skull cup topped with a vase, with a katvanga resting on his shoulder, symbolizing his tantric expertise. Lotus blossoms and radiant mandalas surround him, highlighting his enlightened state, while subtle gold strokes give his figure a divine glow. This thangka celebrates Guru Rinpoche’s role as a wise teacher, protector, and exorcist of opposing forces, inviting his blessings of wisdom, compassion, and spiritual protection.
It is a sacred visualization of Guru Padmasambhava’s blessings, embodying his promise to guide practitioners, remove obstacles, and foster spiritual awakening. Perfect for meditation, devotion, or as a centerpiece, it can transform your space into one of peace, strength, and divine guidance.
