About Our Product
This Primordial Buddha Samantabhadra Statue is a sacred Himalayan Buddhist artwork measuring 22cm in height, 17.5cm in length, and 12.5cm in width, with a weight of 2.26 kg. Crafted from a copper body with 24K gold plating and acrylic colors, this statue represents Samantabhadra Buddha, the embodiment of primordial awareness and the ultimate nature of enlightened mind in Vajrayana Buddhism. The peaceful union of Samantabhadra and Samantabhadri symbolizes the inseparable nature of wisdom and compassion, creating a representation of complete enlightenment and spiritual realization.
This Samantabhadra statue showcases the beauty of traditional Himalayan craftsmanship and sacred Buddhist symbolism. The figures are depicted in a yab-yum embrace, representing the union of wisdom and compassion, method and insight. Samantabhadra Buddha is shown with a calm expression and meditative posture, while Samantabhadri embraces him, symbolizing the feminine aspect of wisdom and the pure nature of awareness. Their peaceful form reflects the state beyond duality, where all enlightened qualities are fully awakened. The carefully crafted details of the flowing hair, serene faces, and seated posture highlight the dedication of Himalayan artisans. The statue rests on a beautifully decorated lotus base, symbolizing purity, spiritual growth, and the path toward enlightenment.
This Samantabhadra Buddha statue is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation rooms, temples, and sacred home spaces. Revered in Tibetan Buddhism as the source of all Buddhas and the representation of primordial wisdom, Samantabhadra inspires practitioners to cultivate awareness, compassion, and inner peace. Placing this sacred artwork in a spiritual environment creates a meaningful space for meditation, reflection, and connection with enlightened qualities.
Introduction of Samantabhadra
In Mahayana Buddhism, Samantabhadra is a bodhisattva (buddha-to-be) representing benevolence or happiness. He is frequently depicted in a triad with Shakyamuni (the Buddha) and the bodhisattva Manjushri, either on a three-headed elephant or a single-headed elephant with six tusks. In China, he is the patron deity of Mount Emei, located in the province of Sichuan. He is regarded as the manifestation of Vairocana, the cosmic Buddha, in Vajrayana, or Tantric Buddhism. In Chinese, he is known as Puxian, while in Japanese, he is known as Fugen.
