Exquisite Tibetan Goddess Standing Green Tara Painting | Bestower of Blessings, on a Majestic Lotus Throne
Grace and compassion shine in this Tibetan Goddess Standing Green Tara thangka, which radiates the enchanting beauty of sacred Himalayan art. Hand-painted in the esteemed Paubha style by a skilled Nepali artist, it rests delicately on fine cotton canvas, layered with rich, vibrant acrylic colors and radiant 24K gold. Every line is drawn with loving care, every pigment ground by hand, and each golden highlight carefully applied in soft strokes. This artwork shines not only with artistic skill but also with deep spiritual devotion. It's more than just a painting—it's a meditative offering that honors the centuries-old thangka tradition, created with the finest quality to inspire and uplift.
Green Tara, a swift protector and symbol of enlightened compassion, holds a special place in Tibetan Buddhism as the one who alleviates fear and suffering. Often called the “Mother of all Buddhas,” she plays a vital role in guiding practitioners toward enlightenment. Known for her power to ease suffering and provide divine protection, Green Tara embodies mercy, healing, and safeguarding. Her origins trace back to ancient Buddhist texts, where she is revered for helping practitioners overcome obstacles on their spiritual journey, making her a highly valued figure in Tibetan tradition.
In this beautiful thangka, she stands gracefully on a blooming lotus throne, symbolizing purity rising above the chaos of the material world. Her right hand gently offers blessings with a varada mudra, while her left hand softly holds the sacred utpala lotus, a flower of wisdom opening at dawn. The artist has beautifully rendered her flowing silk robes with detailed folds, decorated with sparkling jeweled ornaments that shine with touches of gold. A shining halo surrounds her, painted with gentle shades of light, and beneath her feet, the lotus pedestal blooms with layered petals in peaceful hues. Every detail—the harmonious colors and her calm, kind expression—invites reflection and admiration, making this thangka a beautiful expression of devotion and art that lasts through time.
