Meticulously created, this Buddha of Medicine (Bhaisajyaguru) thangka showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of our studio. Hand-painted on soft cotton canvas, it uses natural colors extracted from Lhasa stones and features genuine 24K gold for detailed accents. The natural mineral-based pigments offer a soft matte finish with lasting vibrancy and an earthy depth. Their light-absorbing qualities create gentle gradients and clarity, ideal for sacred depictions.

This Karma Gadri thangka features vast landscapes, elegant lines, and a balanced composition centered on the deity. Gold highlights the Buddha’s robes, throne, and bowl, emphasizing the divine. Every brushstroke embodies traditional craftsmanship and Himalayan artistry, highlighting its quality, skill, and spiritual importance.

Seated calmly in meditative stillness, Bhaisajyaguru is depicted with a lapis lazuli-blue body, representing healing, wisdom, and inner tranquility. His right hand shows the giving gesture (varada mudra) while holding a stem of myrobalan, a medicinal plant known in Ayurveda. In his left hand, resting in his lap in meditation mudra, he holds a bowl of healing nectar with the fruit of myrobalan, highlighting his role as the supreme healer of both body and mind. He wears a simple monk's robe symbolizing renunciation and sits on a vibrant lotus-and-moon seat.
