About Our Statue :

The Maya Devi sculpture, crafted from brass, beautifully depicts the mother of Shakyamuni Buddha, symbolizing the divine energy surrounding his birth. Standing 23 cm tall, this statue radiates grace and spirituality. Maya Devi is elegantly portrayed standing on a lotus base, symbolizing purity and spiritual enlightenment. The intricate detailing on her flowing robes adds a sense of movement, making her figure appear alive with energy and divine presence.

Her left hand is raised in a gesture of blessing and protection, reflecting her nurturing role as a mother and her spiritual significance in Buddhist tradition. Introduction To Maya Devi:

Maya Devi, widely regarded as the mother of Gautam Buddha, the "Light of Asia," was the queen of Kapilvastu, Lumbini, which is now situated in Nepal. She was the queen of King Suddhodana, Gautam Buddha's father. Maya Devi is said to have died just seven days after giving birth to Gautam Buddha.

How do you take care of your statues?

Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.

Consecration Service Available

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
