This Handmade Maitreya Buddha with a Crystal Body is standing at a size of 5.9”/15cm (Height) x 2.2”/5.5cm (Base) and weighs 0.33 kg. Created from 24K gold Gilded, and Gemstones. This sculpture handcrafted by expert Nepalese artisans, elegantly symbolizes Himalayan Buddhism's sacred traditions, making it an appropriate addition to altars, meditation places, or sacred collections.
This statue depicts Maitreya in a peaceful, dignified attitude, frequently with a soft grin, reflecting his function as a bringer of peace and loving-kindness. The gold gilding illuminates his form, highlighting the intricate details of his robes and the symbolic attributes that he holds, which speak to his mission of universal love and understanding. The Maitreya idol serves not only as a beautiful piece of spiritual art but also as a beacon of optimism for the future, inspiring practitioners to cultivate the qualities of kindness and compassion in their own lives.
In the Buddhist faith, Maitreya is called the "Future Buddha" because she is predicted to arrive on Earth, reach full enlightenment, and impart pure dharma. His arrival will bring about a period of happiness, wisdom, and world peace when the teachings of the present Buddha, Shakyamuni, have declined. Maitreya is significant because she represents Buddhist optimism and dedication to improving the world, surpassing simple expectations for the future. The statue stunningly embodies Maitreya's promise, with its antique finish and assortment of mysterious and protective creatures. It provides a concrete link to the future Buddha's ethos of generosity and harmony for all.
Introduction to Maitreya Buddha
Maitreya Buddha is a bodhisattva, or enlightened being, regarded as the future Buddha in many Mahayana Buddhist traditions. According to Buddhist belief, Maitreya will appear on earth to end suffering and spread Buddhist teachings. Maitreya is often depicted sitting on a lotus base with a serene expression, symbolizing his compassion and wisdom. He is also sometimes shown holding a vase, symbolizing his role as a teacher and dispenser of Buddhist teachings. Maitreya is considered a beloved and revered figure in the Buddhist tradition, inspiring devotion and respect among practitioners.
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
