About Our Product
This Yama Dharmaraja With Consort Statue is a sacred Tibetan Buddhist protector figure made from an oxidized copper body with silver plated detailing. Measuring 14.5 cm in height, 11 cm in length, and 4 cm in width, with a weight of 0.56 kg, this statue carries a powerful presence for Buddhist altars, meditation rooms, shrine spaces, and Vajrayana practice settings. Yama Dharmaraja is revered as a wrathful Dharma protector who helps guard the teachings, remove obstacles, and guide practitioners toward wisdom, discipline, and inner peace.
The statue depicts Yama Dharmaraja in a fierce standing posture with his consort, surrounded by a silver plated flame aureole that symbolizes the burning away of ignorance and harmful forces. He is shown standing above a buffalo, one of his key iconographic features, representing his connection with the transformation of death, fear, and karmic limitation. His wrathful face, raised arm, skull ornaments, lotus base, and dynamic posture express enlightened protection rather than ordinary anger, while the oxidized copper and silver plated contrast adds depth to the sacred form.
In Tibetan Buddhist practice, Yama Dharmaraja is honored as a protector of the Dharma and a reminder of impermanence, karma, and spiritual responsibility. His presence on an altar encourages practitioners to overcome fear, purify negative tendencies, and stay committed to the path of enlightenment. This protector deity statue serves as a meaningful support for meditation, devotion, protection, and the cultivation of peace through wisdom and fearless awareness.
Introduction To Yama Dharmaraja
Yama Dharmaraja is a Tantric Buddhist - wisdom deity - protector of the Method Class (father) of Anuttaryoga Tantra specifically used by those engaged in the practices of the Vajrabhairava Tantra. Both Vajrabhairava and Yama Dharmaraja are wrathful emanations of Manjushri - a bodhisattva in Mahayana literature but a tantric deity equal to a Buddha in Vajrayana Buddhism.
