Himalayan Art Hand Crafted Lapis Lazuli Statue
The Lapis Lazuli statue was traditionally hand crafted by the artists of Nepal, Lapis Lazuli, is also known as the medicine Buddha or the Bhaiṣajyaguru. The statue depicts the deity sitting upon a lotus throne, which was hand carved out entirely of an oxidized copper body. The statue took our artists months of hard work to finish the statue. The throne depicts many mythical creatures that have been flawlessly carved with exquisite design patterns. His right hand holds a stemmed lotus, whereas he peacefully meditates while holding an Alms bowl in his left hand. The tiny features of the statue contribute to the statue's charm.

Medicine Buddha, also known as Bhaishajyaguru in Sanskrit, is regarded as the Buddha of Healing. Many meditators in the Mahayana tradition admire his healing abilities. He is frequently shown with a blue (lapis lazuli) body and hands carrying a begging bowl and medical herbs.
