About Our Product
This Historical Gautama Buddha Statue measures 33 cm in height, 21 cm in length, and 14 cm in width, with a weight of 2.64 kg. Made from a copper body with 24K gold plating and acrylic color, the statue shows a smooth gold plated surface with detailed robes, painted facial features, and a broad lotus throne. The calm expression, balanced seated posture, and carefully worked clothing give the sculpture a traditional Buddhist appearance suitable for altar and spiritual display.
This Gautama Buddha statue features Shakyamuni Buddha seated in the vajra meditation posture on a lotus throne. His tightly curled hair rises into the ushnisha, while the long earlobes and peaceful face represent wisdom and inner calm. His right hand reaches downward in Bhumisparsha Mudra, the earth touching gesture connected with the moment of his enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. His left hand rests in the lap holding a small alms bowl, which represents simplicity, discipline, and freedom from worldly attachment. The robe falls across the body with detailed borders and carved patterns, while the lotus throne below represents purity and spiritual awakening.
This Historical Gautama Buddha Statue can be used for meditation, prayer, altar placement, Buddhist practice, Dharma centers, monasteries, temples, and home shrines. Its earth touching gesture, alms bowl, peaceful expression, detailed robe, and lotus base make it a meaningful focus for mindfulness, wisdom, inner peace, and the path toward enlightenment.
Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king by his royal father's wishes and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29 years old, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
