About Our Statue:
This handmade Statue of Bodhisattva, standing at 8.5”/21.5cm (Height) and 6.7”/17cm (Base). Made up of an oxidized copper body. Designed by talented Nepalese artisans, this detailed sculpture is ideal for altars, meditation areas, or as a meaningful decor item for individuals seeking awareness in their daily lives.
The deity is seated on a stylized lotus throne. The lotus throne symbolizes purity and spiritual elevation. The raised right hand with the palm facing outward appears to represent the Abhaya Mudra, a gesture symbolizing fearlessness, protection, and peace. The left hand rests on the knee.
A Bodhisattva is an enlightened individual who has committed to assisting others in achieving enlightenment, exhibiting the highest levels of compassion and knowledge. The Bodhisattva Buddha urges all sentient beings to strive for spiritual progress and personal happiness while remaining committed to their duty to free others.
Introduction to the Bodhisattva:
A Bodhisattva is a being of great compassion and wisdom who vows to attain enlightenment not for personal liberation alone, but for the benefit of all sentient beings. The word Bodhisattva means “enlightenment being,” symbolizing one who walks the noble path of selflessness and service. Motivated by boundless compassion, a Bodhisattva dedicates their life to relieving the suffering of others and guiding them toward awakening. Their practice embodies loving-kindness, patience, and wisdom, serving as an inspiration for all who aspire to live with an open heart and a compassionate mind.
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
