About Our Statue :

This finely carved statue allows you to immerse yourself in the peaceful aura of Shakyamuni Buddha. This sculpture weighs 1.03kg and is 21cm tall by 14cm broad. It is made of  oxidized copper and has a sacred appearance. Shakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, embodies enlightenment, tranquility, and compassion. This statue is an excellent addition to your meditation room, altar, or as a thoughtful gift for people on a spiritual path.

Shakyamuni Buddha is typically represented reclining with a tranquil countenance, signifying his attainment of enlightenment. His right hand, stretched towards the ground in the "earth-touching" gesture (Bhumisparsha mudra), represents his victory over Mara (illusion) on his way to enlightenment. His calm and collected attitude adds a feeling of peace and spiritual calmness to any setting. The statue's corroded copper body provides an appealing contrast and depth, increasing its tremendous spiritual connotation.

Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :

Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king following the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. At about 29, he learned of the immense suffering of others. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
