About Our Product
The Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, is beautifully represented in this handcrafted altar statue made from a copper body with silver plating, gold and acrylic color, and an antique finish. Measuring 15.5cm in height, 10cm in length, and 7cm in width, with a weight of 0.61kg, the statue has a compact yet devotional presence for Buddhist altars, shrine tables, meditation rooms, and sacred collections. The aged finish, warm painted face, and silver toned robes give the piece a traditional Himalayan character.
The sculpture shows Guru Rinpoche seated in a composed posture on a lotus base, wearing his distinctive lotus hat and richly detailed robes. His right hand holds the vajra, symbolizing indestructible wisdom and spiritual power, while his left hand holds a skull cup, representing transformation and tantric realization. The khatvanga staff rests beside him, an important symbol connected with Vajrayana mastery, wisdom, and method. The facial expression, painted details, ornaments, and layered robe patterns reflect the sacred iconography of Padmasambhava as the great tantric master.
In Tibetan Buddhism, Guru Rinpoche is revered as the Lotus Born master who helped establish Vajrayana teachings in Tibet and is honored as a powerful guide for protection, blessing, and spiritual awakening. His image is often placed on altars to support devotion, mantra practice, meditation, and the removal of obstacles. This statue serves as a meaningful reminder of courage, wisdom, transformation, and the enlightened path of Dharma practice.
Introduction of Guru Rinpoche
Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, is one of the most venerated figures in Tibetan Buddhism. Believed to have introduced Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century, he is regarded as the "Second Buddha." His teachings combine wisdom, compassion, and transformative power, guiding practitioners toward liberation. Guru Rinpoche’s iconography—the lotus hat, vajra, and trident—symbolizes his mastery over obstacles and his ability to dispel ignorance and negativity. He is invoked for protection, spiritual growth, and insight, serving as a powerful source of inspiration and guidance for devotees seeking a deeper connection with their inner awakened nature.
