This handmade sculpture of the Lotus Born Master, Guru Rinpoche, is a beautiful and colorful representation of this important spiritual figure in Tibetan Buddhism. Our artisans' careful selection of color palettes has added a unique dimension to this Guru Rinpoche statue. The lotus seat where the Guru is seated depicts one of the finest carvings, together with the multicolored brocade. Padmasambhava is seated on a lotus throne, holding a vajra in his right hand and a skull cup carrying the nectar of wisdom immortality in his left hand. A "khatvanga" (sacred trident) with three severed heads leans on his left shoulder, symbolizing freedom from the three principal causes of misery (kayas).
