The Great Kagyu Master, Marpa Lotsawa
Witness the legacy of Marpa Lotsawa, a significant figure in Buddhist history and one of Tibet's greatest translators, with this exquisite miniature Thangka. Created in the traditional Karma Gadri style on canvas, this piece of art depicts Marpa sitting magnificently on a throne, signifying his esteemed position in the Buddhist tradition.
With its rich, vivid colors obtained from natural stones, this Thangka is the result of meticulous creativity and captures the calm yet potent presence of Marpa Lotsawa. Reflecting his significance in the spread of Buddhist teachings, the use of 24K gold highlights the fine features of his sacred garments and imperial seat. To ensure that the artwork not only enhances a room but also functions as a significant cultural relic, every component is meticulously painted to respect the traditional representations and symbols connected to Marpa.
