He wears a crown adorned with skulls and a garland of severed heads. In this wrathful meditational form, Guru Dragpo was an important protector deity of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism. He stands before a flaming halo atop a male and female body. He wears a human skull and a snake as an ornament. His headpiece is carved from five skulls, and he is seen holding a vajra in his right hand and a scorpion in the other hand. The Sculpture is constructed on a copper body and plated with silver by a group of skilled master artists of Nepal.
