The locket case is handcrafted from white metal by local artisans of Patan and contains a colorful acrylic depiction of Green Tara at the center. Four turquoise stones are set into the corners of the front frame, providing vivid blue-green accents against the silver-toned metal. The rectangular case is finished with detailed raised ornamentation that gives the pendant a distinctive traditional Himalayan appearance.

The front panel portrays Green Tara seated gracefully on a lotus throne against a radiant orange halo. Her green complexion, peaceful expression, flowing garments, and lotus imagery are rendered in vibrant acrylic colors. The central artwork is surrounded by an ornate white metal frame featuring repeated circular and scrolling motifs, with turquoise cabochons placed at all four corners. The reverse side features raised symmetrical ornamental patterns extending across the metal surface, while the upper loop is integrated into the case for attachment to a necklace or cord.

Green Tara is one of the most revered female figures in Tibetan Buddhism and is associated with compassion, protection, and swift compassionate activity.
